I designed Ada to enhance communication in loud environments for individuals with mild to moderate hearing loss.
Hearing loss is a common but often overlooked and invisible disability that affects more people than diabetes and cancer combined. Growing up with mild hearing loss, I understand its challenges, such as low confidence in communication and social isolation. I was frustrated at the lack of tools to support individuals like me, giving this is a global problem that costs nearly $1 trillion to address. Shockingly, people tend to wait for a staggering ten years before seeking help, unaware of the toll it takes on mental health and academic success.

Motivated to change this, I created Ada, an AI-powered app. Ada delivers powerful features to enhance communication for individuals with hearing loss. It provides live conversation VoiceOver, allowing real-time transcriptions to be spoken through a hearable device like Apple AirPods Pro. Ada's intuitive interface is customizable and accessible on smartphones.

Ada's design process involved thorough user research, understanding pain points, and feedback-driven decision-making. Accessibility and usability were key considerations, ensuring Ada's interface was intuitive, easy to navigate, and customizable to suit individual preferences.

The concept has received exceptional feedback, with 8.5 out of 10 users praising its innovation. Ada is just the beginning of revolutionizing the hearing loss community. I believe we can create a more inclusive world by bridging the communication gap.
